Begin your adventure in Canterbury, a world plunged into chaos by an attack of invaders and destined to be saved by a legendary Guardian! The Guardian Knight (the player can name his/her character and choose his/her gender) is a knight who has just joined the Guardians of the Kingdom of Canterbury. The Guardian, who has just completed training with the other members, is informed that they are under attack.

Led by Captain Eva, the knight and the others rush to the main gate of the castle to fend off the invading creatures. But just as they fend off the invaders' attack, a huge fireball falls on them, causing the Guardian Knights to be thrown out, but saved by a mysterious stranger. With the main gate of the palace broken, a large group of invaders evil creatures attack the capital of the kingdom.

The Guardian Knights manage to repel the invaders' line of attack, rescue his friends Bob and Linda, and reunite with Captain Eva. The two then rush to the main palace, but are stopped by a giant minotaur. Nate and Eva manage to defeat it and return to the palace to meet with the young princess and Cami.

Cami uses her powers to evacuate the people to safety. The four of them then start to leave, but are attacked by the Black Magician who led the invaders to attack Canterbury. They survived because the young princess used her powers to "stall" the Black Magician, which provided space and time for Cami to use her flying magic.

During the attack, the guardian knight, Captain Eva, Bob, Linda, the princess and Cammy all survived. However, Cammy and Captain Eva were attacked by the pursuing Black Magicians while escaping in the air and were found missing. The guardian knight and the young princess fall from near the forest outside Canterbury. After fainting, the guardian knight finds the young princess being chased by a group of kobolds who want to kidnap her. The adventure begins as they seek to escape while searching for a way to free Canterbury from the clutches of the invaders.
